If you have a removable travel trunk, and you need just a little more space than your saddle bags can hold, this is a great solution. It easily slips over a rider back rest, and clips onto the crash bars in front of your bags to stay in place.
Caveats: You need a) a backrest, and b) crashbars in front of your saddle bags.
I added both of those to my Road Glide Special so it is PERFECT for me.
The handle makes it easy to pick and carry into a hotel room at night. That means my left paneer has tools, weather gear and the stuff that never leaves the bike. The right paneer has a bag that fits it perfectly, and this bag carries the "overage" - leathers, chaps, and other stuff for overnight 2/3 trips.
It lets me get to my destination, unpack the bike then ride around carefree and sleek. (I can kick my leg over the back without kicking a travel trunk).
I love it.
